Love of Loss i spoke to you

you are happy

that makes me happier

it’s all that makes

but when I think of

all those things

I wish I hadn’t

said anything at all

kept you for myself

my fatal flaw

the love of loss

when they step into the pool
they cling to the rail
not seeing the fullness of life
those of us who go in headlong
are considered fools by them all
we beckon to them from the midst
to join us in fulfillment
but all they see is the rail they cling to
their false world of fear
of the unknown and the known
the lie they live out
the safety they love
and all of them remain
clinging to the rail
until one by one they drop
cheated from their heaven
by their very own faith

The DNA of Dreams push my button
everything closes in
there are no boundaries
in the dark, timeless void
bricks and people
right and wrong
dead, and yet alive
they are calling me
through the dark, timeless void
diamonds cover the sky
piercing the numbness
with their stark brilliance
bathed in light
two strands appear
the strands of life
spiralling in their intertwined love affair
that must never end
lest all creation end with it
as it began
in the dark timeless void
I see myself twisted
lying on the floor
hands grasping at a dream beyond reach
for a life beyond touch
a feeling beyond love
so potent only the dead can reach it
feel it
I fade into the dark, timeless void

voices calling me,
I want to stay
it's so relaxing here in my room
but I know I must go
leave the dark, timeless void
enter a strange place
called home

Silent she speaks
strange, the words
that call you away
every time the return
and the hurt
but still you wait
for the next time
quietly
silently
watching
Will it ever work right?
or will you
simply fail
softly fall
onto the ashes
of what came before
I will catch you
if you let it
if I can find you
lost in what came before
I sit here watching
waiting for the day
I have always been here
I will always be here
